Condominiums are by far the easiest way for foreigners to own property in Phuket. They may own the condominium in their own name, with legal ownership registered at the local Phuket Land Department. Ownership is in perpetuity i.e. forever and, generally speaking, condominiums are much cheaper and easier to buy or sell at a later date. Due to the condominium markets popularity among foreigners, there are now a multitude of projects to choose from across the island, with a broad range of sizes and prices.

The Phuket villa market has taken off in earnest over the last 5 years, with a multitude of styles, sizes and price points now available to prospective buyers, catering for all budgets and tastes. There are now many types of villas to choose from, ranging from 2 bedroom courtyard style pool villas further inland to luxurious sea view villas on both Phuket's west east coasts. Some areas in the central region of the island are also developing, offering luxury villas with stunning mountain views.
